Indigo Niche Block of the Month Quilt – ‘Traditions’

September 20, 2022

Traditions is a fabulous quilt by Sue Howie that earned a lot of praise at the 2017 New Zealand Quilt Symposium, and it is the Block of the Month quilt for 2019.

The Traditions quilt fuses a number of sashiko and boro design elements, and consists of 26 sashiko, boro, and plain fabric blocks.

If you love Japanese quilting, are ready to start a new project, and are intermediate or above skill level, then you may be interested in participating in this 12-month project.

  • Base fabric: Japanese indigo cotton
  • Finished quilt size: 67″ x 56″
  • Designs for the sashiko quilt blocks will be supplied in pattern form, to be traced onto the fabric.

This project has a strict commencement date of March 15, 2019.

Please use the contact form below if you would like to take part, or have questions about pricing and materials.
