The Australasian Embroidery Convention is the first Australian event of its kind to be dedicated to the diverse world of embroidery techniques. Held over three days, you can experience a huge number of embroidery exhibitors, workshops, demonstrations, and more. You’ll find goldwork, whitework, bead embroidery, ribbon embroidery, kogin, haute couture, machine embroidery, and sashiko, just to name a few.
My passion in the embroidery landscape lends itself to a type of Japanese embroidery which we call sashiko stitching, or sashiko embroidery.
So I’m very pleased to be showcasing the Japanese side of embroidery at the convention in Brisbane, February 2020! The Indigo Niche stand will be located at Stand 17, featuring a full range of sashiko embroidery products, supplies, and accessories.
You’ll find sashiko patterns, pre-stencilled panels, kits, accessories, and sashiko thread, as well as some exclusive previews of new designs.
See you there!
