About the pattern
Kaku-shippo, or ‘angled seven treasures’, is a variation on the traditional Japanese geometric pattern Shippo-tsunagi, which symbolises everlasting peace and happiness. Another name for this pattern is ‘Hana-bishi’, which can translate as ‘fireworks’ or ‘flower diamond’.
