The Bishamon pattern is traditionally used in the armour of Bishamonten, one of the seven deities of good fortune that bring treasure and good fortune. The fluid continuous design allows your creativity to take hold and design bespoke, one of a kind pieces.

Using our Niche Templates
Our templates are created with the perfect stitch length for each design, which means you'll never again need to guess the number of stitches required for the best outcome!
Our Niche Sashiko Templates are available in 2 different materials:
Mylar: These are made from a heatproof mylar and are transparent, thin, flexible and are not prone to breakage. The thinner material makes marking your fabric easier and allows a greater range of pens/pencils for marking.
Acrylic: Our Acrylic Templates are made of 2 millimetre thick, transparent acrylic material, similar to patchwork rulers. These templates are quite solid and do not have any movement or flex to them. Due to this they are a little more delicate and if dropped could crack. If using our acrylic material template a Sewline or Bohin ceramic pencil is best as they fit perfectly through the very fine stitch marking cut outs in the template.
