Japanese Family Crests, also known as Kamons, have distinctive features, an abundance of motifs, and are skilfully designed. Most Japanese families have a family Crest/Kamon that has been passed down from generation to generation. These Kamons have been used in Japanese society since at least the 7th century.

Our Niche Sashiko Templates are available in 2 different materials:

Mylar: These are made from a heatproof mylar and are transparent thin, flexible and are not prone to breakage. These are much easier to store and less fragile to post. ADD WHAT PENS ARE THE BEST TO USE WITH THIS TEMPLATE

Acrylic: Our Acrylic Templates are made of 2 millimetre thick, transparent acrylic material, similar to patchwork rulers. These templates are quite solid and do not have any movement or flex to them. Due to this they are a little more delicate and if dropped could crack. If using our acrylic material template a Sewline or Bohin ceramic pencil is best as they fit perfectly through the very fine stitch marking cut outs in the template.
