Happy Boro Table Runner Kit

The Happy Boro Table Runner Kit includes everything you need to make a beautiful table runner that incorporates both sashiko embroidery and boro-inspired textiles.

PLEASE NOTE: This runner is a follow on from a workshop piece so your Niche Templates and Boro fabrics will vary depending on availability. 

The finished runner features a combination boro-inspired fabric pieces on an indigo cotton background, bordered with sashiko embroidery that is stitched using an acrylic sashiko template. The fabric pieces have been curated to create a nice contrast to the indigo backing.

The Kit Contains:

• Background fabric (100% Indigo cotton)
• A selection of fabric pieces for ‘boro’ work – these will change due to availability
• 2 x Niche Sashiko Templates for sashiko bordering, both 4 1/2″ square – these are a random selection from our range. These are acrylic stencils containing the right stitch length for transferring sashiko patterns onto fabric. You’ll also find these extremely useful in future projects requiring sashiko patterns.
• Sashiko thread
• Backing fabric – changes due to availability

Completed runner measures 14″ x 40″.

Additional Requirements:

Ceramic pencil – either Sewline or Bohin are best; 1 x sashiko needle
