This year’s Australasian Quilt Convention will be held in Brisbane for the first time ever, and Indigo Niche is thrilled to be a part of it! The AQC will be showcasing the best quilts from around Australia, as well as many classes on offer. You’ll have four days to immerse yourself in quilts, inspiration and new techniques.
Visit Indigo Niche at Stand 67 for daily Make & Takes, Sashiko Demonstrations and Giveaways, as well as inspiring sashiko designs, kits and supplies. In the spirit of the event, we will of course have a number of stunning sashiko and boro-inspired quilts on display.

We will have a special gift for the first 50 attendees to visit us at Stand 67.
Daily: Sashiko Embroidery Template Demonstration
Learn how to transfer sashiko designs onto fabric using Sashiko Embroidery Templates. Create beautiful and accurate sashiko patterns, ready for stitching.

Daily: Boro Make & Take with Sue Howie
Create your very own Boro-inspired textiles to embellish a lovely Yazzii sewing notions pouch – so handy for craft, notions, makeup, jewellery and embroidery projects.
What’s included
Class includes pouch, embellishing and backing fabric, Sashiko thread, needle and instructions.
